Aurora Cellars
Week 23 -June 4 - 10
Something to Love
I love the fake-old European stone chateau - it is unique and I love the commitment.Β I mostly sat outside under the tent as I came here at the end of a workday and wasn't done working. Then my phone died and I had to go inside to take a zoom call (cringe). They didn't have to be nice about it but they were - they set me up in a far table so I wouldn't disturb anyone else but I could still do my call.Β
Something to Do
There's a lot dedicated to the concept of "cool climate wines" including a self-guided tour and detailed map of varieties (not pictured- my phone died). It's so great to see a new take, and combining nature with education is something we do well in this area.

Something to Hope For
One thing I've noticed at several wineries is their sense of humor, and Aurora leads the pack. I didn't notice in taking the picture which is why it's blurry, but you can see the sign in the upper right appears backwards in my photo. This is because it is intentionally printed backwards so that when you sit at the bar it is reflected right-way in the mirror you see here. Sense of humor is never unwelcome. I hope this trend continues!
